What is WAM?
WAM is a professional networking group founded by Ceil DiGuglielmo and Susan Woodcock with the goal of helping new workroom business owners improve skills, build confidence, and develop peer friendships. It was started in January of 2020 with 10 members.
During the year, the group met monthly with online meetings and through a private discussion area on the Curtains and Soft Furnishings Resource Library.
WAM members tackled topics like time studies, pricing, fabrication and workroom efficiency, and helped each other with business and workroom challenges The WAM group shared successes and failures in a safe and supportive environment and built friendships that helped them to grow personally and professionally, and to gain confidence as business owners.
Now Accepting New WAM Members
It was such a success that Ceil and Susan have decided to continue by adding new members to the WAM-ily. If you would like to be considered as a WAM member for 2021, please view or listen to the podcast, read the requirements below, and fill out the request form at the bottom of the page.
Space is limited so there will certainly be more requests that can be accepted. That will not prevent you from participating by listening to the podcast to learn what the WAM group is studying and discussing which will be shared on 30-Minutes with Workroom Tech each month. You will be able to take advantage of the resources and advice that is shared during this year and in past episodes.
Requirements:
Must be a new workroom business owner for 5 years or less.
Must be a PRO PLUS member of the Curtains and Soft Furnishings Resource Library. Cost to join is $95.00. Website: www.csfrl.org
Must make a commitment to be an active participant in monthly meetings and on the online discussion group.
Details and Conditions:
WAM members receive access to a private, monitored discussion group on the Curtains and Soft Furnishings Resource Library after they have joined as a PRO PLUS member.
WAM members understand the information shared on the private discussion group can be personal and sensitive, and not to be shared outside of the group without permission.
WAM members are encouraged to attend Custom Workroom Conference to grow their businesses through education and networking, and to meet each other in person.
WAM members understand that each persons business is unique and that those with more experience have just as much to learn as those who are just starting out.
