Getting back to work after taking time off can be difficult. Ceil and Susan talk about their experience after returning home from the Custom Workroom Conference.

Returning home from an industry event is different. You are returning to your family but leaving your "workroom family" behind. There is the added pressure of replying to customers, accounting for business expenses, and sorting information from classes and suppliers.

You are not alone in feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or a little sad that it's over.

After the rush of meeting old and making new friends, talking, sharing and learning, I always have a difficult time of getting back to normal. ~Laura Nelson, Sew Nice

I hate transitions of any kind. ~Robin Matthews, Seams Sew Right

My hardest transition is starting a new job in the workroom. Pulling everything out and cutting. When possible, I like to cut 1-2 jobs and have them prepped before leaving. Then, coming back doesn't require any thinking. ~Ann K. Johnson, Sew Easy Windows
