Custom Pillows: Level II / March 6-7, 2026

In this hands-on class, you will learn how to design and fabricate advanced pillow styles with trims. Each student will create unique, custom pillows using a variety of techniques, fabrics and trims. This includes a knife edge pillow with an inset design and border (using a needlepoint, embroidery or statement fabric) and pleated flange, a boxed pillow incorporating tape trim and a "students choice" lumbar pillow mixing fabrics and trims. Susan will share ideas that will inspire you to take your pillows to the next level.
Class size is limited to 3 students. Each student will have a dedicated 5' x 10' worktable, industrial straight stitch machine and industrial walking foot machine with assorted machine feet and sewing kit. There are two industrial sergers for students to share. Pillow forms, lining, stabilizer, zippers, and welt cord and will be provided. Students bring face fabrics and trims. Yardage amounts will be sent after registration.

You will go home with two to three finished pillows and skill focused samples.
This is an advanced level class. Experience making basic pillows, using industrial sewing machines, and practical workroom knowledge is necessary to take this class. Contact us with any questions.

Students will bring their own face fabric. All other tools, materials and supplies will be provided by Workroom Tech. Once your payment has been processed, you will receive an email with yardage requirements and other information for attending this class.
