These training seminars are led by talented Workroom Tech teachers sharing their experience and skills to help you succeed.
The Workroom Cadre in Colorado: Shades & Shades!
Join workroom experts Rhonda Shanahan and Angie Wewel for two days of hands-on learning and professional growth on Thursday - Friday, July 30-31, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver-Westminster in Westminster, CO. They will be joined by Susan Woodcock and Jennifer White, who will be assisting with hands-on training.
Cost to attend is $850.00 per person and includes professional instruction, materials, supplies, roman shade headrail system, welcome reception, all day beverage service, two delicious lunch buffets, door prizes, swag, and handouts. Space is limited to 16 participants. You will go home with a finished lampshade and roman shade!
Day 1: Gathered Lampshade with Rhonda Shanahan
In this session you will learn about lampshade construction, materials and supplies and the fabrication steps to create a traditional hand-stitched, gathered lampshade. Rhonda will have many samples to share with custom details and embellishments.
Day 2: French Blackout Roman Shade with Angie Wewel
In this session you will learn how to plan and fabricate a custom, french blackout roman shade. Angie will share her calculations for perfect vertical and horizontal ring spacing and unique lining methods for a beautiful finish with no pinholes of light. You will and assemble and attach your shade to the RBS headrail system.

This is a professional level event for workroom business owners, fabricators or designers. Some knowledge of sewing and custom fabrication is needed to participate.

Cancellations must be made in writing by email to Susan@WorkroomTech.com.
If you need to cancel your registration there is a $100.00 cancellation fee per person before July 1, 2026, and a $200.00 cancellation fee after that date. You can transfer your registration to another person with permission. Please contact Susan Woodcock for approval.
