The Workroom Cadre: Cordless Shade Systems

 

Join workroom experts Jennifer White and Susan Woodcock for a day of learning and professional growth on Friday, February 28, 2025, in Austin, Texas. If you manufacture and sell custom shades in your workroom business, this seminar will equip you with the knowledge and skills to confidently offer a variety of cordless shades to your customers.

 

 

Cost to attend is $400.00 per person and includes professional instruction, buffet lunch, all day beverage service, door prizes, swag, and handouts. Space is limited.

 

Jennifer White has experience and statistics for cordless lift system including spring, motor and manual operation, and Susan Woodcock, one of the leading educators in the industry, will show step-by-step methods of shade fabrication.

You will learn about the different types of cordless operating systems; see a comparison of spring, manual and motor systems; and determine how to choose one system over another. You will see how to assemble, adjust, and tweak systems, and advice about how to educate customers about cordless shade use.

 

During the class you will see a variety of fabrication methods specific to each system and for shades in general, including: different ways to use weight bars and rods or ribs, lining options and blackout with no pinholes of light, how to easily make shade returns, and the steps required to meet the recent revisions to the cord safety standard.

 

This is a professional level program for workroom business owners, fabricators or designers. Resources will be shared for operating systems from a variety of manufacturers and industry suppliers, many who sell only to-the-trade.

    If you need to cancel your registration there is a $100.00 cancellation fee per person before February 1, 2025, and a $200.00 cancellation fee after that date. You can transfer your registration to another person with permission.  Please contact Susan Woodcock for approval.
